Message from our Director

The Palomar/Pacific Coast Concert Band welcomes you in this our 35th year. As a non-profit organization and steadfast partner of North County cultural life, our community band of 60 to 70 wind, brass and percussion players has performed a wide spectrum of band music throughout San Diego County. Since 1983, we have delighted thousands to the sounds of marches, musical theater, classical, movie scores and big band music. Our musicians have appeared in over 300 concerts in venues ranging from concert halls, parks and band shells, to schools, shopping centers and theaters.

We continue to support music with concerts for the community and presentations of scholarship funds to deserving Palomar College students. If you are interested in sustaining and supporting our activities and programs, your tax-deductible contributions are always welcome. To make a donation towards our Scholarship Fund, or to the Palomar/Pacific Coast Concert Band for the purchase of music, instruments or supplies, please contact us for more information, or download our Donor Form here.

If you enjoyed playing an instrument in college or high school band, we would love to have you join us. Please call me at 760-390-2990. See our Rehearsals section below for full details.

Our deepest appreciation to our audience for your support over the years. Without your enthusiasm and attendance, our band would cease to exist. To keep up with our performance schedule, add the Palomar/PCCB homepage to your favorites.

I am pleased to have served for more than 20 years as conductor of the Palomar/Pacific Coast Concert Band. Throughout the years we have been fortunate to have some of the brightest talents as members of our band family. I look forward to sharing new works and beloved favorites with you this season. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to learn more about this exceptional community band.

With warmest regards,
Kenneth Bell
Conductor/Music Director

Performance Review

(This letter was received following our May 12, 2013 performance at Palomar College; selections included excerpts from "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Modest Mussorgsky.)

May 14, 2013

Dear Mr. Bell and all Concert Band Performers,

Thanks for your excellent music for Mothers' Day!

You all deserve stars for playing in the extreme heat.

All selections were good.

I especially like walking through the castle on a foggy day, seeing the pictures on exhibition, the wagon wheel and wagon, the "unhatched chickens" and walking again on the promenade.

Music unites us all!

Oceanside, CA.
